Sheen and Color
PARA offers six basic sheen levels in many product lines. Please review the chart below to see where the various sheens are best used. Consult an actual Sheen Selector chip to see how color is affected by sheen level (available at Jas-Mar). Please note that all colors are not available in all paint types.

Flat	Walls, Ceilings and low activity areas. It's gently washable and conceals surface irregularities. (ULTRA Super Washable Flat Latex NOW AVAILABLE #4800).
Velvet	Low to medium activity areas. Good washability & stain removal. Recommended for dining rooms, bed rooms and living rooms.
Eggshell	Walls & trim in medium to high activity areas. Easy-clean, washable finish.
Pearl	Walls, trim, doors in medium to high activity areas. Stain resistant, durable, easy-clean scrubbable finish. PARA's Melamine finishes are between Eggshell and Pearl.
Semi-Gloss	Walls, trim, doors, in high activity areas. Highly stain resistant, durable, easy-clean scrubbable finish.
Gloss	Walls, trim, doors in high activity areas. Cupboard, furniture. Super easy-clean, scrubbable finish, Excellent stain resistance and extremely durable.

Custom Color Matching
PARA's base system of paints and stains allows for an almost limitless range of custom colors. Jas-Mar has a Design Vision System that matches colours on the computer for fast and effective colour matching with even the difficult colours. It is important to note that for most colors, a trained color technician can match colors to the same accuracy and speed as a computer. Computers help the color matching process mostly by reducing the time it takes to create more complex colors and for matching colors in various types of paint, such as latexes and alkyds.
